Exquisite Handmade Gardens

Garden Design and Makeovers in Saltash, Cornwall, Devon & the South West

During the initial consultation with you, for up to an hour, we will ask a lot of questions - what ideas you have for your garden, who wants to use it and how, colour preferences, any plant favourites or hates, etc - and measure and photograph the plot. It will give us a framework from which we can develop our ideas (concept development). Based on this conversation, we draft an outline of the future garden that can include photos and other images, which we will present to you.

The presentation meeting will last up to an hour. If you are happy, then the physical phase begins, when the garden is constructed. Naturalistic garden design is an artistic endeavour, so this is where our ideas take their final shape. Given the conditions of the ground and other considerations as work progresses, the final shape may not be fully defined at the outset and may evolve during the construction of the garden. After the garden has been completed, we will provide you with a planting plan for your gardener. Maintenance is essential.

Before starting the physical phase, we will ask you to sign a letter of Engagement that describes the project and confirms our terms and fees. Our fees cover consultation and concept development, and any work as described under Inspired By Nature.

If you choose not to continue beyond the initial consultation, there will be no charge. After the presentation meeting, should you decide not to proceed with the construction of the garden, we will charge a consultation-only fee. We do not sell design plans separately.
